How do I get back? I feel guilty when I look at my blog and see that I only posted once in 2009. Only once. Wow, what has become of my mind? There were so many interesting things I could talk about too. Here's a brief synopsis of my life the past couple of years:
- In the fall of 2006 I started at St. Vincent's College to advance my nursing from LPN to RN.
- Three years of classes, study groups, papers, clinicals, ugly uniforms, care plans (UGH) and great friends (go Tacos!!)
- May 2009: GRADUATION!
- July 2009: State Boards - PASSED! Now I am officially a Registered Nurse!
- Got a raise
- Got a promotion
- Started working towards my BS in Healthcare Administration
- My daughter Jaime is giving me the best gift: a grandbaby!
I know I missed a lot of great things in the last four years. David got out of the Marines and came (safely) home to us. Stephenie and Mark graduated College. Mark passed the Praxis and is now a certified teacher in the State of CT. Steph got a full-time job working with children. Jaime began attending school to be a Paralegal and she'll graduate next month. Maggie went off to college; and then came home to be a commuter. She loved living in the dorms; but alas, the cost is prohibitive. She'll be graduating in May of 2011. I went to Chicago to visit Ray. That was a lot of fun.
How do I get started again? I guess the first thing is to be honest. I am not blogging today, right now, simply because I missed blogging. That is the truth, but missing is not the catalyst that got me to log in and blog.
This current blog is inspired primarily by procrastination. That's right, now you all know. I am avoiding homework. I have one paper to write for my final class this semester: Human Resource Management. Frankly, it's enough to send me right back to sleep. I have to write. I must write. It's due Friday.
I'm heading back to bed for a bit and then I'll write. I promise.
