Jaime and "Her Guys"

I was thinking, the other day, about when Jaime was a little girl. I mean, really little. She was almost 2 when we moved into our house; and the time I was thinking of was when we lived here, so she must have been between 2 and 3. Now that we have that all worked out, I'll tell you what I was thinking.

She was (and continues to be) very unique. She has her own thoughts as to the way things should be; and if the world does not adjust to those thoughts, well, she'll move it around until it does.

Jaime loved the 'keeping' of things and the 'storing' of things. Ever since she could walk (8 1/2 months old), she would gather up her 'stuff' - whatever it was at that particular moment - and carry it around with her. My mom used to tease saying Jaime would be a bag lady some day. She even went out and bought her a little kid sized shopping cart. You know Jaime loved it and packed it full of stuff every day.

Her favorite things were her 'Guys'. These were four small stuffed animals that I got from McDonalds. They were of Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Roo. Each toy was about 3 - 4 inches in height; but keep in mind the size of the child loving these to death. She would gather all four of them up in her arms and waddle around the house. She would bring them with her to dinner, to watch TV (Winnie the Pooh, of course) and to bed.

It is one of my fondest memories of Jaime as a baby. Ahhhhhh, how sweet!

Chat soon.
xoxo
